
Some of you may be wondering where exactly Uganda is located? Uganda is in eastern Africa on the Eastern Africa Plateau about 3,200 feet above sea level. It is surrounded to the east by Kenya, to the south by Tanzania and Rwanda, to the west by the Dominican Republic of Congo, and to the north by Sudan. The equator runs through the southern part of the country. Uganda has many lakes and rivers. Lake Victoria is in the south eastern part of the country.
English is the official language of Uganda, however there are as many as 40 other tribal languages spoken. Swahili is the 2nd official spoken language in Uganda.
Uganda has a rainy season from March to May and then again in October and November. However, it is not unlikely for it to rain at any time. Temperatures do not vary too much from month to month. They generally stay somewhere between 70° F and 90° F. However, in the mountains and at night, temperatures can get quite chilly.
Uganda is 7 hours different than New Jersey time.
